Turn Your Old Mirrors Into New Again! Yes it is possible. Do you have a mirror with a beautiful beveled edge, And maybe with some floral designs, Or it could be a family heirloom. But the mirror does not have that clear brilliance it once had when you first purchased it or maybe it has a haziness and some streaking that is starting to show through.

At Frick's Glass & Mirrors we can resilver that mirror using the same process that was used over 120 years ago, which will keep your mirror with that original antique value!

Problems With Resilvering Which May Occur:

Column

STAINS: Stains or marks that can be right in the surface of the face or back side of the glass. Will Not Come Out!

COMET TAILS: Are caused by the presence of seeds (small pin holes) in the glass. These seeds become filled with the old paint and cause a slight problem. When the mirror is resilvered a small black spot the size of a pin head may occur with a small comet tail attached - these are infrequent and hardly noticeable.

BREAKAGE: We are not responsible for any breakage, We handle all glass with extreme care but accidents can happen. (Your money would be refunded.)

Column

HALLOES: Impurities in the glass itself - they may not show up in the original silvering, but on resilvering they sometimes occur. The incidence is about one mirror in twenty; as they are faint and usually about 1/4" in diameter or less. It is not worth the added time or expense of buffing and polishing the entire surface.

SCRATCHES: Hair line or deep scratches and chips that are in the surface of the face or back side of the glass. Will Not Come Out!

* All custom work has to be paid for in advance. The process will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks after we receive the mirror and payment. There is an extra charge to remove and re-install the mirror back into the frame. Pricing depends on over all size.

* Be sure to package the mirror well, with bubble wrap plastic and news paper securely in a box. We will send it back through Fed-ex, Loomis, or UPS. in which the customer pays all the shipping cost both ways.
